We live on a safe, leafy Manhattan side street in a well-maintained co-op building. Our apartment is sunny, spacious and filled with art, books and music. Your child will have his/her own room (not so common in New York City), and will attend highly-rated schools in our neighborhood. There are many families with young children living in our building, and we’re friendly with most of them. We are grateful to have so many wonderful neighbors.
Our building is convenient to everything a youngster could possibly need or want. There is a small park with a public pool three blocks away, and world-famous Central Park is a 20-minute walk from our front door. The neighborhood is crammed with great kid-friendly restaurants, ice cream parlors, museums, crafts shops, movie theaters and libraries. There is no shortage of nearby special events for children, from circuses and puppet shows to science fairs and guided nature walks.
There is a large (and growing) number of children living in Manhattan -- apparently, we’re just one of many couples who believe it’s a fantastic place to raise kids.
Every child loves watching the
sea lions of Central Park’s zoo
